Amazon is due to begin their Black Friday sale in earnest starting this Friday, according to a press release posted earlier this week which details the massive internet retailers’ plans for the biggest shopping event of the year.
Up until now, it has been a little unclear on how Amazon was going to be approaching Black Friday. 2020 has thrown a lot of retailers off balance, with their projected incomes being knocked off course by the Coronavirus pandemic and the effect it has had not only on the B2C element of sales but also on the supply chain from product creation to release.
So, it will come as a relief to some that despite the COVID-19 pandemic, Amazon is planning to host a week of Black Friday inspired sales on their site starting from this Friday (11/20/2020). These further details of the sale came to us through a press release posted on AboutAmazon.com, in which it was revealed that Amazon.com will be hosting Black Friday deals from the 20th of November until the 27th of November – with Cyber Monday deals sure to follow if the past is anything to go by.
As far as details go concerning the actual products going on offer, we are still a bit in the dark. Historically, the products in line to be promoted during the Black Friday event are kept under wraps until the event itself, but we did get the indication that there are going to be ‘tens of thousands’ of deals being made live across the entirety of Amazon.com.
In fact, the press release that was posted went on to give a quick glimpse into the kind of savings that are set to be live during Amazon’s Black Friday event, with special Black Friday deals on the likes of Samsung & Sony TVs, Nintendo, Xbox and Sony gaming products, PC gaming, computer tech and much more – with special Alexa exclusive deals and Amazon awarded Black Friday badges as well to top off the Black Friday madness.
