For the next two weeks, GOG.com are slashing prices of thousands of games in their Spring sale.

For nostalgia inclined gamers, there are some steep discounts on some stone-cold classics from yesteryear, titles like Legacy of Kain: Soul ReaverThief Gold & Deus Ex, all available for the low low price of $0.97 or 69p, depending on which side of the Atlantic you reside on.

All of these are totally worth revisiting and offer an experience quite different to similar games from more recent years. The original Deus Ex holds up remarkably well, and there’s a plethora of mods and tweaks available to expand on the original game.

Or if you’re looking for something a bit more contemporary, there’s the frozen apocalypse city-building strategy game Frostpunk for $11.99/£10, pixely action RPG Children of Morta for $15.39/£12.99, and multi-award winning philosophical RPG Disco Elysium for $31.99/£27.99.

GOG has also made the “The Witcher Goodies Collection” totally free. This a collection of all the bonus materials that have been bundled with the various releases in the series and includes soundtracks, making-of documentaries, and footage from a live concert.

With these purchases, you can take advantage of GOG’s recently updated “Voluntary Refund Policy”, where if you don’t like the game, or would like to refund it for any other reason, you get 30 days after your purchase to claim a refund, regardless of how long you spent playing it during those 30 days.

It takes the risk out of these purchases and gives you plenty of time to evaluate the game. Just remember to request a refund in the first 30 days, or you’ll no longer be able to.

As with everything else available on GOG.com, all the games in this GOG sale are DRM free.

Check out the rest of the sale here, and let us know what you’ve picked up, or if you spot any particularly exciting games discounted.
