It’s certainly been a busy period for AMD, releasing both their initial batch of Ryzen 5000 series processors as well as their highly sought-after Radeon RX 6000 series graphics cards. But, just because it’s a new year, that doesn’t mean AMD slowing down with news of 5000 series APU specs and info being leaked.

As per the title of this article, this new line of processors is codenamed ‘Cezanne’ featuring the H suffix with different variants being attached to that depending on their power. We already know of the 5900HX, 5900H, and 5900HS which have been seen but what is certainly interesting is the leak of the 5980HX. This more than likely alluding to an even more powerful offering for a mobile processor and probably the most capable laptop APU we’ve seen come out of AMD.

It’s not just mobile tech that has been leaking though, with a Ryzen 7 5700G details being posted, sitting on the higher end in terms of specs for their 5000 series desktop APU range. This will be music to the ears of those still sporting an older generation APU that might be a little lackluster in today’s world.

As you can see, these specs certainly make for interesting reading with a bunch of these processors sporting an 8/16 core/thread count as well as boost clocks that are well into the 4 GHz bracket. These back up the claims that the ‘Cezanne’ line will be top-tier and could be the go-to tech for a long time.

While this isn’t the most fleshed-out information on the new AMD APUs, it does give us a little insight into what to expect from the next generation of mobile processors. For when to expect more on this tech, we’re sure we’ll receive everything we want to and need to know come CES 2021, where the company will be having a full showcase.
