Dr Disrespect breaks silence on Twitch ban

What does the future hold for the Doc?

DrDisrespect breaks silence on Twitch ban

Popular Twitch streamer Dr Disrespect was banned over three weeks ago and there has been little to no information about why or how this happened and his next steps, until now. In an interview conducted by PCGamer, Guy Beahm, the man behind the mullet, stated that he has still not been informed as to why he was banned by the streaming platform and is looking for new avenues for when he ultimately returns to the scene.

When the ban hammer fell on Dr Disrepect, pretty much everyone expected the worst as it came at a time where a number of broadcasters had been outed for sexually inappropriate behavior even more field by prominent figures in the gaming community such as Rod ‘Slasher’ Breslau implying that he knew the reason why the Doc was banned but couldn’t comment as it was so serious. However, on the face of it, that doesn’t seem to be the case and Beahm, along with his team were as shocked as the rest of us. He stated in the interview that it was a “total shock” and he only found out as some of his streaming features “started turning off” until ultimately, he had to end the final broadcast.

Now, it seems Beahm is looking elsewhere for bringing his character to life, stating that he has considered streaming on his independent site championsclub.gg as well as potentially looking at other options like YouTube or Facebook Gaming. There are, however, a lot of variables to consider including his lucrative sponsorships and deals. But, wherever the Doc will end up, it’s highly likely that the big money deals will follow thanks to his huge fan base and ultimately, massive viewership.

While all of this is still up in the air, we expect to see the copycat red military vest and trademark reflective sunglasses back on the internet soon enough and when it’s all wrapped up, it’ll certainly be known as one of the strangest and intriguing Twitch stories we’ve seen since the platform’s inception.
