Nvidia Announces GeForce RTX 3060 Ti, Available To Purchase December 2nd

The 3060 Ti GPU has finally been revealed by Nvidia!

Today, Nvidia finally announced what we all suspected for so long, and revealed the brand new Nvidia GeForce RTX 3060 Ti to the world. The new card takes its place amongst its bigger brothers and sisters in the Ampere range of GPUs, with the 3060 Ti being the most affordable member of the 3000 series cards so far.

Nvidia GeForce RTX 3060 Ti Specifications

The specifications of the brand new GPU from Nvidia have long been debated and talked about via rumors and other leaks – but we finally have a solid list of specifications. Stacked with 8Gb of GDDR6 memory, a base clock of 1410Mhz, a boost clock of 1665MHZ, 38 RT cores, 152 Tensor cores, and DLSS capability, this is by far Nvidia’s most powerful budget graphics card to date, and easily beats out the Turing generation when it comes to power.

Nvidia GeForce RTX 3060 Ti Performance

When it comes to performance, the new 3060 Ti is looking to be an immensely powerful option for PC gamers today, easily going head to head with AMD’s RX 6800 in terms of performance versus value.

Users can expect real-time ray tracing and the support of DLSS – Nvidia’s own deep learning super sampling tech that can upscale in-game performance thanks to AI working in tandem with a game to upscale lower resolution images to higher resolutions. Very impressive stuff, especially for a card at this price point.

Nvidia has also come out of the gate saying that this new GPU is going to be faster than the 2080 Super, a flagship card from the Turing generation, with frame rates and rasterization both much faster than any entry-level card in the past.

Of course, these specifications apply to the 3060 Ti Founders Edition Only. Third-party cards will be releasing at the same time as the Founders Edition 3060 Ti, and both pricing and performance will differ from the Founders Edition

Nvidia GeForce RTX 3060 Ti Release Date And Price

Nvidia’s GeForce RTX 3060 Ti will be releasing on the 12/2/2020 – that is to say, tomorrow, at the time of me writing and posting this news. The card will be on sale at prices starting at $399 in the USA, and £369 in the UK. These prices reflect the cost of the 3060 Ti Founders Edition, with prices for third party cards varying.

Got any questions? Leave them below, otherwise good luck to you if you are hoping to get your hands on your own 3060 Ti.
