AMD is trumping Nvidia at this point in terms of how busy a tech company can be announcing both the new Ryzen 5000 series processors, as well as what we’ll be talking about today – the AMD Radeon RX 6000 series graphics cards.

This new set of 6000 series GPUs from AMD is to be the new flagship range from the company, taking your video game graphics to a whole new level in preparation for the next generation of AAA games.

In this article, we’re going to be looking at a number of different aspects of the 6000 series GPUs including what you can expect from the graphics cards, any confirmed release dates, how much each GPU in the series will cost, and finally, the most important aspect for you – where to buy them.

What Can You Expect From The AMD 6000 Series GPUs?

If Nvidia’s 3000 series graphics cards are anything to go by, with the 6000 series from AMD potentially being on par, if not better in some aspects, we’re going to see some serious performance out of these GPUs. In terms of some raw specs from the cards, whether that’s the more budget 6800 or the 6900XT ‘Big Navi’, we haven’t got official benchmarks. However, we have acquired this leaked image from a NewEgg insider which details some aspects.

We also know, thanks to AMD allowing the public to see a full 3D rendered 6900XT in Fortnite before the October 28th event, that the ‘Big Navi’ will feature three fans for impressive cooling, whereas the 6800XT and 6800 will likely only use a dual-fan design, probably due to being less powerful thus requiring less cooling. this was, of course, showcased in the event and got to see the classic GPU in hand moment from Dr. Su herself.

What Is The Release Date Of The AMD 6000 Series GPUs?

Thanks to the October 28th event, we now have confirmed release dates of all the graphics cards in the lineup. November 18th is the date for both the AMD Radeon RX 6800XT and AMD Radeon RX 6800 with the AMD Radeon RX 6900XT coming at a later date of December 8th

We hope that the staggered release goes a little more smoothly than Nvidia’s efforts who had stock shortages around the globe. AMD higher-ups have hinted that they won’t follow Nvidia’s mistakes and will have more stock available for prospective buyers come launch.

How Much Will The New AMD 6000 Series GPUs cost?

Again, thanks to the October 28th announcement, you’re looking at a retail price of $999 for the AMD Radeon RX 6900 XT, $649 for the AMD Radeon RX 6800 XT, and $579 for the more budget PC build-friendly AMD Radeon RX 6800. These prices are very respectable especially when put next to the Nvidia 30 series.

Of course, as we all expected, the 6900XT ‘Big Navi’ will be the highest-priced card due to it being the flagship GPU and having the most power.
